About Black Hills State University

Black Hills State University is a public university in Spearfish, SD. The school resides in the beautiful black hills. BHSU has strong ties to the community through its support of American Indian studies, geology, integration of business and school, and the various community outreach programs. The university is an NCAA division 2 university that offers football, men's and women's basketball, women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's and women's rodeo, women's golf, women's triathlon, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field.

The school is most known for its education and business departments. The business department at BHSU is an AACAB accredited program. This has given the school the opportunity to have a chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, business honor society. Black Hills State University is a smaller university supplying schooling to approximately 3,600+ students each year. Black Hills State University strives to offer students the most support and the highest educational challenges and opportunities possible.
